Job summary

DRW, a diversified trading firm headquartered in Chicago, seeks a Senior Production Support Engineer to ensure maximum trading system availability. You will support proprietary and third-party trading systems across asset classes, automate deployment, and monitor production environments.

You will collaborate with traders, DBAs, developers, and global teams, develop automation tools, troubleshoot incidents, and participate in on-call coverage in a 24x7 environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
• Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.
• Experience supporting high-performance trading systems.
• Experience with FIX protocol and exchange protocols.
• SQL expertise and basic database maintenance.
• Proficiency with Linux and Windows in production environments.
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish best-in-class production support and proactive monitoring to minimize downtime.
• Ensure maximum trading system availability across asset classes.
• Support production systems across global locations (Linux primarily, some Windows).
• Develop and leverage automation and monitoring tools; automate deployment.
• Troubleshoot incidents from internal and external factors and implement fixes.
• Coordinate with exchanges regarding connectivity and trade activity.
• Collaborate with traders, DBAs, developers, back office, and management worldwide.
• Help users understand core trading and back-office systems; document procedures.
