Job summary

Group One Trading, LP is seeking an Application Support Specialist in Chicago, IL to ensure the reliability of its proprietary electronic options trading platform. You will monitor production, diagnose issues, manage incidents, and work directly with traders and developers to keep systems market-ready.

The role emphasizes learning trading concepts, proactive problem solving, and documentation, with opportunities to obtain a Series 57 and grow within a fast-paced trading environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical role.
• Experience with system monitoring tools & techniques.
• Deep technical troubleshooting skills of proprietary software that runs on Windows Servers.
• Ability to document support processes, production issues in JIRA, and contribute to wiki-based documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production and diagnose issues on the proprietary trading platform.
• Manage incidents and ensure systems are ready for market hours.
• Collaborate with traders, developers and cross-functional teams to improve stability and performance.
