Coinbase is seeking an Infrastructure Lead on the Exchange team within Institutional to own the network infrastructure, deployment, and operational tooling behind a unified trading platform across cloud and on‑prem venues. You’ll keep latency‑sensitive, multi‑node trading environments fast, reliable, and easy to build on.

Lead safe production changes, incident response, and on‑call rotation while mentoring engineers and partnering with SRE/Infra, Product, and trading teams to improve reliability

Qualifications

• 8+ years of network, infrastructure, or SRE engineering experience with ownership of production systems in latency-sensitive environments.

Responsibilities

• Own, operate, and optimize ultra-low-latency networks across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Design routing, traffic segmentation, and multicast market-data architectures.
• Deploy and operate firewalls and secure connectivity.
• Drive observability and network automation with telemetry and Python/Ansible.
• Lead safe production changes, incident response, and on-call rotation.
• Mentor engineers and partner cross-functionally with SRE/Infra, Product, and trading teams.
