Job summary

Coinbase seeks an Infrastructure Lead on the Exchange team within Institutional to own the network infrastructure, deployment, and operational tooling behind a unified trading platform that spans cloud and on-prem venues.

You will design and operate ultra-low-latency networks, lead incident response, mentor engineers, and collaborate with SRE/Infra, Product, and trading teams to improve reliability and developer velocity.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of network, infrastructure, or SRE experience in latency-sensitive environments.
• Experience with on-prem/colocated deployments and financial services.
• Ability to lead incident response and cross-functional resolution.
• Familiarity with Fortinet or Palo Alto firewalls and VPNs.

Responsibilities

• Own, operate, and optimize ultra-low-latency networks and data-center infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Design and maintain routing, traffic-segmentation, and multicast market-data architectures.
• Deploy and operate firewalls and secure connectivity across Fortinet and Palo Alto platforms.
• Drive observability and network automation using Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Lead safe production changes, incident response, and on-call rotations for 24/7 trading systems.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with SRE/Infra, Product, and trading teams to improve reliability.
