Job summary

Career Developers Inc. is hiring a Desktop Support Lead to become the senior technical resource on a high-demand trading floor in Manhattan, NY. The role combines 70% hands-on work with 30% team leadership to maintain a fast-moving trading environment.

You will drive automation using PowerShell or Python, manage a team of six, and ensure high-quality service while aligning with global standards. This position offers growth and exposure to enterprise desktop tech.

Qualifications

• High-traffic trading floor or similar environment experience.
• Automation experience with PowerShell or Python.
• Windows enterprise experience.
• Proven team leadership on a small technical team (6+).
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in supervision or management.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure incidents and service requests are resolved per SLA.
• Lead deployment of desktop technologies in local and global projects.
• Prepare and perform appraisal reviews for team members, including salary communications.
• Lead regional team to provide top-tier customer service and apply global standards.
• Manage team absences including holidays and sick days; handle conflict and performance.
• Ensure working practices and documentation are fit for purpose.
• Oversee regional office expansions/fit-outs and liaise with Technology teams.
• Coordinate delivery, installation, moves and changes of end-user equipment.
• Provide consultation on complex incidents and projects.
• Establish strong, collaborative relationships with business streams.
• Coordinate operational acceptance of new services and technologies to the business.
