Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) seeks an experienced Trade Compliance Program Manager to lead import, export, and FTZ compliance programs across the enterprise. You will partner with manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, warehousing, purchasing, and sales to navigate complex requirements and strengthen controls.

The role emphasizes policy development, risk assessment, audits, training, and continuous improvement to support international shipments and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, Operations, or related field and 7+ years in import/export compliance or global trade.
• Solid knowledge of U.S. import regs, export controls, HTS, Schedule B, ECCN, tariffs, origin, FTZ operations.
• Experience with CBP interactions, brokers, freight forwarders, and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with trade systems and ERP platforms, ACE, ISF records, restricted-party screening tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve import, export, CTPAT, tariff, and FTZ compliance programs across divisions.
• Develop and maintain trade policies, procedures, controls, tools, and training materials.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update procedures, systems, and training accordingly.
• Oversee import documentation, classification, country of origin, duty, and audit readiness.
• Lead export classification, filings, licensing assessments, and regulatory filings with Legal and advisors.
