Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas is hiring an Export Control Manager to ensure compliance with U.S. and international export controls, licensing, end-use reviews, and regulatory reporting.

This role provides subject matter expertise across a global technology portfolio and leads training and internal controls. You will report to the Senior Manager, Global Trade Compliance, coordinating with cross functional teams on classifications, sanctions screening, and audits, with domestic and international

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of export control or international trade compliance experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. and international export controls and licensing.
• Experience with training, internal controls, and audits.
• Familiarity with sanctions screening and end-use reviews.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Promote and model ethical compliance and code of conduct.
• Provide SME on export controls and regulatory expectations.
• Guide classifications, licensing, end-use reviews, and screening.
• Prepare export license applications and regulatory disclosures.
• Conduct due diligence, audits, and investigations.
• Coordinate and manage compliance training programs.
• Mentor staff on export control requirements.
• Develop and improve internal policies and controls.
• Identify and address compliance risks and gaps.
• Monitor laws and best practices in export controls.
• Interface with agencies and regulators.
• Support additional global trade compliance activities.
