Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking a seasoned Trade Compliance Program Manager to lead import, export, CTPAT, tariff and FTZ compliance across the organization.

This role partners with manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, purchasing, sales, and other functions to ensure compliant, efficient movement of products across borders. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, Operations, or related field with 7+ years of import/export compliance experience.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. import regulations, export controls, HTS classification, Schedule B, ECCN, tariffs, and FTZ operations.
• Experience supporting import/export transactions, classifications, and regulatory requirements in manufacturing or complex environments.
• Experience with CBP, brokers, freight forwarders, and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with FTZ systems, ACE, ISF, and restricted-party screening tools; ERP familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve company-wide import, export, CTPAT, tariff, and FTZ compliance programs.
• Develop and maintain trade compliance policies, procedures, controls, tools, and training materials.
• Monitor regulatory changes and coordinate updates to procedures, systems, and training.
• Oversee import documentation, valuation, country-of-origin determinations, HTS classifications, and audits.
• Manage export filings, ECCN classifications, end-use documentation, and licensing assessments.
• Administer denied party and sanctions screening processes for relevant parties.
• Own CTPAT program including risk assessments, certifications, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate tariff exposure analysis and FTZ operations with internal teams and external providers.
• Serve as primary liaison with CBP and customs brokers to resolve compliance matters.
• Provide guidance to manufacturing, supply chain, warehouse, and sales teams on regulatory requirements.
