Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. seeks an experienced Trade Compliance Program Manager to lead company-wide import, export, FTZ and related compliance programs.

You will serve as the SME, partnering with manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and sales to navigate complex trade requirements and strengthen controls. You will drive policy development, internal controls, training, and audit readiness to ensure compliant movement of products across borders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, Operations, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in import/export compliance, global trade, customs, or related function.
• Experience with CBP, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead company-wide import, export, and FTZ compliance programs across multiple divisions.
• Develop and maintain trade compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update procedures, systems, and training accordingly.
• Oversee import compliance activities: customs docs, valuation, origin, HTS classification, tariffs.
• Oversee export compliance: invoices, filings, ECCN classifications, end-use docs, licensing.
• Manage restricted party screening and screening processes for partners and third parties.
• Own CTPAT program, including risk assessments and certification activities.
• Coordinate with CBP, brokers, forwarders, and regulatory agencies on trade matters.
• Support operations teams with guidance on production, sourcing, and international shipments.
• Lead audits, corrective actions, and process improvements for compliance.
