Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include 18 years of age with 1–2 years of semi-tractor maintenance/repair experience or equivalent education/experience; willingness to work outdoors and across multiple shifts including nights/weekends.
• A/C certification and at least 1 year of experience in DOT/FHWA inspections and air brakes.
• Basic tools are required and employees must provide their own tools in most locations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of preventive maintenance, parts replacement, and complex repairs on tractors per company specs.
• Assist with onboarding and mentoring Tractor Technician trainees.
• Participate in OE training for repairs.
• Troubleshoot tractor issues and work both independently and with guidance as needed.
• Follow shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers.
• Complete repairs per standard repair times and warranty guidelines.
