Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Tractor Technician to perform intermediate maintenance and repair on our tractors and equipment under routine supervision.

The role may require outdoor work, various shifts including nights and weekends, and full-time attendance. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, parts replacement, OE repairs, troubleshooting, and completing work orders per SRT and warranty guidelines.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with 1-2 years of semi-tractor maintenance and repair experience or equivalent.
• A/C Certification and at least 1 year of experience in DOT/FHWA inspections and air brakes.
• Own tools are required in most locations; toolbox purchase program available.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, replace parts, and complete intermediate repairs to tractor systems per specs.
• Mentor Tractor Technician trainees and participate in OE training.
• Troubleshoot tractor issues and follow shop safety procedures.
• Complete work orders and communicate with JB Hunt personnel and customers.
