Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age with 1–2 years of experience in Semi-Tractor maintenance and repair
• A/C Certification, with at least 1 year of experience in DOT and FHWA inspections and air brakes
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and work outdoors or across shifts as needed
• Basic tools supplied by employee; toolbox purchase program available for those without tools

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate maintenance, service, and repair of tractors and equipment per company specifications
• Troubleshoot tractor issues and perform repairs independently or with guidance
• Follow shop safety procedures and complete work orders within standard repair times
• Mentor Tractor Technician trainees and participate in OE repair training
• Maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers
