Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking an experienced Tractor Technician to perform intermediate maintenance, service, and repair of tractors and related equipment under routine supervision.

You will troubleshoot issues, complete fleet maintenance processes, and ensure units meet company specifications. The role may require outdoor work, night and weekend shifts, and overtime; full-time attendance is expected.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with 1-2 years of semi-tractor maintenance/repair or equivalent experience.
• Willing to work outdoors and across multiple shifts including nights/weekends; overtime as needed.
• A/C Certification; DOT inspections, FHWA inspections, and air brakes experience.
• Basic tools are required and may be supplied by the employee in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tractors and equipment to JB Hunt specifications and perform intermediate repairs.
• Troubleshoot tractor issues and follow fleet maintenance processes.
• Repair engines, fuel systems, and brake/transmission components.
• Mentor Tractor Technician trainees and participate in OE repair training.
• Follow shop safety procedures and communicate with JB Hunt staff.
