Job summary

Central Transport in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an automotive maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on Class 8 tractors and related equipment. The role requires basic tools and at least 1 year of experience, with ASE certification preferred but not required.

The position offers industry-leading pay starting at $32/hour, company-paid training, comprehensive medical and dental options, and paid bereavement and jury duty leave. Uniforms are supplied.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on Class 8 tractors and after-treatment systems.
• Repair trucks, trailers, and related equipment promptly and safely.
• Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings, and critical components for proper operation.
• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, battery checks, lubrication.
• Repair and troubleshoot major components: engine, transmission, differentials.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services such as troubleshooting and repairing electrical and after-treatment systems on our Class 8 tractors.
• Repair trucks, and trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
• Repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmission, and differentials
