Central Transport, a leading LTL carrier, is seeking skilled mechanics to maintain a fleet of 2,200 tractors, 8,500 trailers, and 1,700 forklifts across the United States and Canada. The role offers industry-leading pay starting at $35/hour and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repairs on trucks and trailers, inspections of critical systems, and routine servicing. ASE certification is preferred but not required; 1 year of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in vehicle maintenance.
• Basic hand tools required.
• ASE certification preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive maintenance on Class 8 tractors and related equipment.
• Repair trucks and trailers in a timely and efficient manner.
• Inspect brake systems, steering, bearings and other critical components.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks and lubrication.
• Repair major components such as engine, transmission, and differentials.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services such as troubleshooting and repairing electrical and after-treatment systems on our Class 8 tractors.


• Repair trucks, and trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner


• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition


• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery


• Repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmission, and differentials
