Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Member of Technical Staff (MTS) for the Tracking Architecture Performance Department in El Segundo, CA. This on-site role focuses on radar/EO/IR sensor analysis, algorithm development, and systems engineering support for national security space programs.

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and have at least 2 years of space systems or algorithm experience, with programming skills in MATLAB, C, C++, Java, Python, or FORTRAN. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of applicable educational or professional experience with space systems or algorithms.
• Experience programming in MatLab, C, C++, Java, Python or FORTRAN.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform modeling and analysis of MW/MT/MD sensors and systems and their broader system-of-systems architectures.
• Conduct a range of analysis using modeling, simulation and analysis capabilities.
• Analyze the performance of EO, radar and passive RF sensor concepts, architectures, and algorithms.
• Develop and implement radar, lidar, and related tracking algorithms and improve modeling tools.
• Develop computer tools and simulations to support analyses and systems engineering trades assessments.
