Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Systems Performance, Estimation, and Algorithms Engineer for its Tracking Architecture Performance Department. The role is on-site in El Segundo, CA or Colorado Springs, CO, focusing on algorithm development for space surveillance systems, sensor data analysis, and space threat assessment.

Candidates must be pursuing a Master’s/PhD in Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering (or have completed a Bachelor's).

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s/PhD in Physics, Applied Math, or Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree completed before internship.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
• GPA 3.0 minimum; transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Algorithm assessment and development for SDA and MW/MT missions.
• Modeling, simulation, and analysis of target tracking.
• Apply standard techniques to complete assigned scientific tasks.
• Training and mentorship will be provided.
