Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Systems Performance, Estimation, and Algorithms Engineer to contribute to space surveillance system analysis, algorithm development, and modeling. The role supports radar, EO/IR sensors, and space domain awareness projects, with emphasis on algorithm development and systems engineering.

Located 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA or Colorado Springs, CO, the candidate will work within the TAPD to deliver analytical support, modeling, and evaluation across defense

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed advanced degree in a relevant field (Master/PhD preferred).
• Bachelor's degree required prior to internship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience programming in C, C++, Java, or Python; familiarity with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Algorithm assessment and development for space surveillance targets.
• Modeling, simulation, and analysis for SDA/MW/MT missions.
• Apply standard engineering tasks and processes to project work.
• Training and mentoring will be provided.
