Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Colorado Springs or El Segundo, CA is seeking a Member of Technical Staff to support space surveillance and radar/EO/IR sensor analysis. You will work within the TAPD in the Enterprise Effects Division to develop modeling, analysis, and architectures across national security space programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field is required.
• At least 1 year of space systems or algorithms experience.
• Programming experience in MATLAB, C, C++, Java, Python or FORTRAN.
• Experience with Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Modeling and analysis of sensors and system architectures.
• Use modeling, simulation and analysis tools (in-house and commercial/government).
• Evaluate EO, radar and RF sensor concepts and algorithms.
• Develop and implement tracking algorithms and improve tools.
• Create computer tools and simulations for interdisciplinary teams and system trades.
