Qualifications

• Less than high school education or up to one year related experience or training.
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to add and subtract simple numbers and to multiply and divide.

Responsibilities

• Start engine, shift gears, and press pedals with feet to operate loader; move levers to lower and tilt bucket and drive front end loader to load bulk material.
• Move levers to raise and tilt bucket; drive to work site and dump material.
• Use pipe forks to load and unload materials – pipe, cement, block, etc.
• Perform routine maintenance on loader such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning, including tracks in applicable weather.
