Job summary

William A. Hazel, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Rubber Tire Loader Operator to join our Pipe team. The role involves starting and operating a front-end loader to move materials and load/unload pipes and related items.

Responsibilities include routine loader maintenance, safe operation in outdoor environments, and adhering to job-site safety practices. The position offers hourly pay and benefits typical of a total site development contractor with over 60 years in business.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education required; or up to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to add and subtract simple numbers and to multiply and divide.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Start engine, shift gears, and press pedals to operate loader.
• Move levers to lower and tilt bucket and drive loader forward to force bucket into bulk material.
• Move levers to raise and tilt the bucket when filled, drive to the work site, and dump material.
• Use pipe forks to load and unload materials – pipe, cement, block, etc.
• Perform routine maintenance on loader including lubrication, fueling, and cleaning, and care for tracks in applicable weather.
• Operate in outdoor conditions with exposure to fumes, extreme temperatures, vibration and loud noise.

William A. Hazel, Inc., a total site development contractor for over 60 years, is looking for a detail-oriented Rubber Tire Loader Operator to join our Pipe team.

• Start engine, shift gears, and press pedals with feet, and turn steering wheel to operate loader.
• Move levers tolower and tilt bucket anddrive front end loader forward to force bucket into bulk material.
• Move levers to raise and tilt bucket when filled, drive vehicle to work site, and move levers to dump material.
• Uses pipe forks to load and unload materials – pipe, cement, block, etc.
• Performs routine maintenance on loader such as lubricationg, fueling, and cleaning, including the tracks in applicable weather.

The work environment charachteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborn particles, extreme cold, extreme heat,and vibration. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in high precarious places and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

Salary: Hourly $24.00 to $30.00/hour
