Job summary

Indiana Automotive Fasteners, Inc. seeks a Department Lead to drive Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) within a manufacturing cell, guided by Toyota Production System (TPS) and Total Predictive Maintenance (TPM).

You will mentor team members, coordinate shift start meetings, plan work assignments, and lead Kaizen activities to minimize waste and ensure 100% on-time delivery and 100% conforming parts to the next process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree a plus.
• 3+ years in manufacturing leadership or equivalent experience preferred.
• Knowledge of TPS/TPM concepts and lean manufacturing is desired.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of all jobs within the department.
• Lead Start of Shift meetings and communicate SQDC goals.
• Coordinate training for new team members and cross-training plans.
• Ensure 100% on-time delivery by prioritizing work and flow.
• Identify root causes of issues and implement Kaizen countermeasures.
• Oversee 4S+ housekeeping and safety compliance.
• Assist in hiring and provide interim leadership when needed.
