Job summary

The role involves coordinating training, leading shift meetings, and acting as a liaison for the department team members. The ideal candidate will coordinate work assignments, analyze root causes of issues, and promote continuous improvement through Kaizen activities and standard work adherence.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to troubleshoot with minimal direction after training.
• Able to read Kanban and match Kanban to parts.
• Experience with reading technical drawings and using calipers.
• Must extend shifts by 30 minutes on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of all jobs within the department and lead with safety, quality, delivery and cost (SQDC).
• Lead department Start of Shift Meeting and communicate expectations.
• Coordinate training for new team members and develop cross-training plans.
• Act as first point of contact for department team members and provide support.
• Prevent inventory bloat by ensuring 100% conforming product is sent to next process.
