Job summary

IAFI in Greenfield, IN seeks a Quality/QA Leader to drive department initiatives focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). You will mentor team members, coordinate Kaizen activities, and ensure 100% conforming parts throughout the line.

Strong problem-solving and kanban experience are essential. Responsibilities include training coordination, shift leadership, and collaboration with the area leadership to improve processes and workmanship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree a plus.
• Three-year related experience and/or training (5–7 years preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting after training.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and quality specs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of all jobs within the department.
• Lead department with SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost).
• Coordinate training for new team members; plan cross-training for coverage.
• Act as first point of contact for department team members.
• Facilitate start-of-shift meetings and SQDC communications.
• Plan work assignments; ensure 100% on-time delivery and 100% conforming parts.
• Improve work instructions and procedures.
• Identify root causes and implement countermeasures for nonconformances.
• Manage floor management system results and compliance.
• Support safety and Kaizen initiatives; lead 4S+.
• Provide coverage during shifts and assist in production tasks as needed.
• Participate in hiring and support department leadership decisions.
