Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space seeks a Missile Thermal Analyst to perform preliminary and detailed thermal design and analysis on TPS and full missile thermal systems using NX Thermal and related tools. You will prepare technical memos and data packages for design reviews with the engineering team.

Ideal candidates have thermophysics expertise, TPS sizing experience, and the ability to work across disciplines in a fast-paced environment. A current Top Secret clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Professional work experience in Thermophysics & Heat transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Aerodynamics, and TPS (Thermal Protection Systems).
• Experience with thermal analysis and software tools such as NX Thermal, FIAT, ACE, AHEAT, ATAC and CMA.
• Experience in TPS sizing, testing, test planning, and reporting.
• Active or Current Top Secret Clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical memos and data packages to support peer and customer reviews.
• Present design and analysis data to the engineering team, customers, and program office at reviews.
• Review, interpret, flow-down and implement program requirements.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering fields to develop cost-effective thermal solutions.
