Job summary

Toyota Material Handling North America is seeking a TPS Intern for Summer 2027 in Muscatine, IA. You will gain hands-on experience with the Toyota Production System and collaborate with TPS and Weld teams, mentors, and leadership to drive meaningful projects.

You’ll plan Kaizen events, learn KPI collection, and build skills in project planning and Toyota principles, while also developing PowerPoint presentation capabilities in a hands-on manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required.
• Currently enrolled in a Mechanical/Industrial Engineering-related degree program.
• Available for a full-time, onsite internship in Muscatine, IA from May–August 2027.
• Currently pursuing or preparing to start a Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Learn TPS principles and Toyota's A3 project planning.
• Plan Kaizen events, collect KPI data to support projects, and teach Toyota Principles.
• Collaborate with manufacturing managers, supervisors, and production engineers.
• Develop PowerPoint presentation skills.
