Job summary

Toyota Material Handling North America in Columbus, IN is seeking a Quality Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in operations, TPS principles, Kaizen, and root-cause analysis while collaborating with the Quality team and mentors.

The role involves translating requirements to IT deliverables for the Supplier Portal, partnering with Production, Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain, and supporting supplier development and customer resolution.

Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
• Currently enrolled in an engineering degree program (industrial, mechanical, or similar).
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Columbus, IN for Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to translate requirements for IT deliverables for Toyota’s Supplier Portal.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain) to reduce repeat quality defects.
• Coordinate with Quality Engineering, Procurement, and Suppliers to support customer resolution and supplier development.
• Participate in customer and supplier visits.
