Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Previous internship or co-op is a plus but not required.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing operations or lean principles.
• Exposure to TPS, 5S, Visual Factory, Kanban or similar methods is preferred.
• Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret data.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with reporting or dashboards is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with frontline workers and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated initiative and eagerness to learn.
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing settings is valued.
• Exposure to Lean and TPS concepts is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support TPS and Visual Factory initiatives to improve efficiency and visibility.
• Identify root causes of issues and assist with corrective actions.
• Coordinate engineering changes and ensure proper documentation and training.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions.
• Assist with Kanban and other material flow systems for inventory control.
• Create dashboards and reporting tools to enable data-driven decisions.
• Support capital equipment projects from planning to commissioning.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and data collection.
• Collaborate with leaders and operators to sustain standardized work.
• Support additional projects and priorities as needed.
