Accelevation invites you to join our Manufacturing Operations Internship in Miamisburg, OH for Summer 2027. You will collaborate with engineers, operations, and project managers on meaningful projects that impact data-driven manufacturing outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

As an Operations Intern, you’ll support process efficiency, standardization, visual management, and material flow while gaining exposure to TPS, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor's in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
• Prior internship, co-op, project, or manufacturing experience preferred but not required
• Basic understanding of manufacturing operations and lean principles
• Exposure to TPS, 5S, Visual Factory, Kanban or similar continuous improvement methodologies
• Ability to collect, organize, analyze and interpret data
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
• Experience with reporting, dashboards or data visualization is a plus
• Demonstrated initiative and curiosity
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing operations and continuous improvement
• Ability to work with frontline employees and cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Support TPS and Visual Factory initiatives to improve operational efficiency
• Identify root causes of quality and process issues and assist corrective actions
• Coordinate product and process engineering changes and manufacturing implementation
• Develop, update and maintain SOPs and production documentation
• Assist with Kanban and material flow systems to improve inventory management
• Create and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for data-driven decisions
• Assist with CapEx projects including equipment implementation and integration
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and data collection
• Partner with frontline leaders to reinforce standardized work
• Support additional projects and operational priorities as assigned
