Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management to lead major technical initiatives and scale platform capabilities. You will drive TPM discipline growth, mentor teams, and partner with senior leadership to align technology with business strategy.

You will influence roadmaps, manage cross-functional programs, and ensure outcomes across multiple engineering teams while operating within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required.
7+ years of experience managing technical programs.
7+ years designing/building distributed systems and services.
3+ years of Agile delivery experience.
3+ years leading large cross-functional programs and vision.
Experience in regulated environments.
PMP/Lean/Agile/Six Sigma certs advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead TPM programs delivering critical business goals and scalable platforms.
Define and drive program roadmap aligned to business objectives.
Ensure architectural alignment toward long-term platform convergence.
Act as executive escalation point for risks and tradeoffs.
Define measurable outcomes for platform success and deliver accountability across teams.
