Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management to lead large-scale technical initiatives across the GPN and CORE divisions. You will help shape TPM maturity and drive the development of scalable platform capabilities for customers.

You will collaborate with senior engineering and product leaders to deliver on business goals, manage risks, and ensure measurable outcomes in availability, cost efficiency, and developer velocity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 7+ years of experience managing technical programs.
• 3+ years building distributed systems & highly available services using AWS.
• 3+ years of Agile delivery.
• 3+ years people management or influencing organization as an IC.
• Experience in SOA / distributed computing.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to TPM strategy with scalable operating mechanisms.
• Develop and align program roadmaps anchored in business objectives.
• Lead cross-platform technical investment planning and ensure architectural alignment.
• Serve as executive escalation point for program risks.
• Define measurable outcomes of platform success and ensure delivery accountability across multiple engineering teams.
