Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management to lead programs that deliver on critical business goals and to build large-scale platforms that empower Capital One customers with outstanding experiences.

You will also drive the TPM discipline, sharing industry knowledge to teach the organization what a great TPM can achieve, while aligning teams and ensuring platform convergence and reuse.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field required.
• 7+ years managing technical programs with delivery impact.
• Experience designing/distributing solutions using distributed computing/SOA.
• 3+ years building scalable products and cloud-based platforms.
• 3+ years Agile delivery and large-program execution.
• Experience in regulated environments preferred.
• MBA or Master’s and certifications like PMP/Lean/Agile/Six Sigma are a plus.
• Strong communication and leadership across senior teams.

Responsibilities

• Set TPM strategy and operating mechanisms at scale across portfolios.
• Develop program roadmaps aligned to business objectives and dependencies.
• Lead cross-platform investment planning and architectural alignment.
• Act as executive escalation point for risks and tradeoffs.
• Define measurable platform outcomes like availability and cost efficiency.
