Job summary

TEKsystems is hiring a Dispatcher in New Orleans, LA to coordinate tow truck drivers and ensure timely pickups and deliveries. You will assign jobs, communicate with drivers, track assignments, and support daily operations in a fully onsite role.

The position requires strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, with experience in dispatching or fleet coordination considered a plus. Typical hours are 8AM–5PM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation, towing, or fleet coordination is a plus.
• Comfortable working with drivers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assign towing jobs to drivers and monitor their progress.
• Coordinate daily towing operations to ensure on-time service.
• Schedule tow truck resources based on workload and business needs.
• Arrange additional towing support when demand is high.
• Communicate with drivers and provide necessary pickup and delivery information.
• Track active jobs and make adjustments to keep operations on schedule.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with tow truck drivers and towing vendors.
• Identify transportation issues and elevate concerns to management when needed.
• Monitor transportation performance and review reports.
• Help control transportation costs and identify efficiency improvements.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
