Job summary

Betacom-Incorporated is seeking a Tower Technician III - Maintenance to support North Georgia field operations. The role involves climbing towers, installing and maintaining antennas and RF equipment, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting RET systems, performing JSA, and working with complex mechanical tools. Requires physical fitness and the ability to travel as needed for projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of industry experience preferred.
• Clear communication skills (read/write).
• Ability to lift over 70 pounds.
• Must be able to travel/out of town as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in construction, installation, and maintenance of towers and related equipment.
• Operate hand tools and mechanical equipment safely.
• Complete daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Climb towers 100 feet or more with loads up to 50 pounds.
• Troubleshoot RET systems and install antennas and related components.

Salary Range: $23.00 To $26.00 Annually

OVERVIEW:

Leads and assists in the construction, installation, and maintenance of communications towers and support structures and related telecommunications equipment. Leads by example to facilitate timely job completion. Tower Technicians work irregular hours, travel frequently, and work at great heights in extreme weather conditions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Climbsandworksoncommunicationstowersforthepurposeofinstalling,replacing,andrepairingantennasystemsequipment.Doesnotrequireclosesupervision.
• Thebasicuseandcareofhandtoolsandmechanicalequipment.
• CompletesrequireddailyJobSafetyAnalysis’(JSA’s).
• Knowsthe hazardsassociatedwithtowerclimbing,constructionequipment,andworkingonor nearenergizedlinesand equipment.
• Theabilitytoclimbtallstructures(100 feetormore)with50lb.load.
• Analyzessituationsaccuratelyandadoptsanappropriatecourseofaction.
• Communicatesorallyandinwriting.
• Followsinstructionsaccuratelyandcompleteassignedcourse ofaction.
• Recognizessafetyhazards andperformsdutiesinasafemanner.
• Maintainsclean,orderlyenvironmentadheringtocompanypoliciesandindustryregulation/standard(s)(OSHA)
• Knowledgeofcustomtowerriggingtechniques.
• Proficientwithtopsidetestingprocedures(sweeps,PIM,fibertestingetc.)

• Highly organized and be able to effectively report verbally and written reports back to the TowerForeman.
