Responsibilities

• Perform daily Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and follow OSHA guidelines.
• Communicate clearly, document work, and report to Tower Foreman.
• Assist with closeout packages and site handover documentation.

OVERVIEW:

Leads and assists in the construction, installation, and maintenance of communications towers and support structures and related telecommunications equipment. Leads by example to facilitate timely job completion. Tower Technicians work irregular hours, travel frequently, and work at great heights in extreme weather conditions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Climbsandworksoncommunicationstowersforthepurposeofinstalling,replacing,andrepairingantennasystemsequipment.Doesnotrequireclosesupervision.
• Thebasicuseandcareofhandtoolsandmechanicalequipment.
• CompletesrequireddailyJobSafetyAnalysis’(JSA’s).
• Knowsthe hazardsassociatedwithtowerclimbing,constructionequipment,andworkingonor nearenergizedlinesand equipment.
• Theabilitytoclimbtallstructures(100 feetormore)with50lb.load.
