Job summary

Betacom in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Tower Technician IV for maintenance and installation of communications towers. The role requires climbing tall structures, validating safety procedures, and coordinating crew efforts to complete projects on time.

You will work with RF testing gear, antennas, RRH units, and grounding systems, contributing to reliable telecom infrastructure and customer satisfaction. Travel and variable hours are expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot tower lighting and RF testing equipment.

OVERVIEW:

Leads and assists in the construction, installation, and maintenance of communications towers and support structures and related telecommunications equipment. Leads by example to facilitate timely job completion. Tower Technicians work irregular hours, travel frequently, and work at great heights in extreme weather conditions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Climbsandworksoncommunicationstowers forthepurposeofinstalling,replacing,andrepairingantennasystemsequipment.
• Thebasicuseandcareofhandtoolsandmechanicalequipment.
• SafetyManagement-ensurescrewmembersareincompliancewithcompanyandcustomersafetyrequirements.Verifiesandensuresalltoolsand rigginggear aresafe touse.
• CompletesrequireddailyJobSafetyAnalysis (JSA’s).Executesandmanages,ifrequired.
• Knows the hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working on or nearenergizedlinesand equipment.
