Betacom in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Tower Foreman to supervise construction crews on telecommunication sites. You will lead the crew, coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of tower/construction experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with field tools and reporting. This is a full-time, on-site role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Must have High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Four years or more of related tower and construction experience and/or training.
  • Good communication skills, reading and writing skills (English).
  • Good computer skills. Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook).
  • Clean Driving Record & Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must be able to accommodate out-of-town travel, if required.
  • Must have experience with Anritsu Site Master, Andrew, PPC, towermapping and antenna equipment.
  • Must have experience stacking self-support towers, installing waveguide, antennas, and microwave dishes.

OVERVIEW:

The Tower foreman supervises and performs construction duties on a daily basis on telecommunication sites. Supervise subcontractors and job site personnel to complete the scope of work assigned. Must be able to follow instructions and complete assigned jobs timely and safely.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Leadanddirectacrewof2-4members.

  • Providessuggestionsandrecommendationsforemployeeadvancements,compensation,promotions,production,efficiency,orother statuschanges.
  • Fullunderstandingofajob orproject scopeofwork(SOW).

  • ManagesalldatainBetacomtools(SiteManager)and customertools.
  • Ensuressafetyandsecurity ofemployeesandcompanyassets.
  • Performs inspection of entire installs. Troubleshootsproblems with installs. Captures and provides closeoutpackages.
  • Participatesandassistsinhandlingemployeecomplaintsandgrievancesaccording tocompanypolicyandlawfully.
  • Participatesandassistsinhandlingemployeediscipline andprobationaccordingtocompanypolicyandlawfully.
  • Takes full responsibility for crew safety. Ensures crew members are in compliance with company and customer safety requirements. Inspects all tools and rigging gear to ensure they are safe to use.
  • Reportsanyworkers’comp injuriesorotherincidents.
  • Other closely related work may include physical tasks and menial tasks such as timesheet and otherrecordkeeping,completingJobSafetyAnalysis,adjusting equipmentandtools.
  • Knowsthehazardsassociatedwithtowerclimbing,constructionequipment,andworkingonornearenergizedlinesandequipment.
  • Certificationwithalltestequipment(Anritsusweepgear,PIMgear,fibertesting,etc.).
  • Experiencedwithcustomtowerriggingtechniques.
  • Experienced with all manners of troubleshootinge.g., RET’s, GPS antenna system, RF noise floor, TMA gain,towerlight systems,VSWR,microwave systems,etc.).
  • Proficient with the completion of closeout packages.

  • Installation andtesting ofall grounding oftowercomponentstoinclude ground ringsfor tower,shelter,equipmentpadsandcompound.
  • Installationandtestingof coaxandellipticalcable.
  • Installation,testing,andrepairingoftowerlightsystems.
  • Sweeping test all lines and equipment, operating sweeptest software, reading results and sending tocustomers.
  • PIM testingall lines and equipment, operate PIM testsoftware,reading resultsand sending tocustomers.
  • Installing,commissioning,andtestingRETsystems.
  • Using ofGPSalignmenttools.
  • Installing,testing,pathaligningandtroubleshootMicrowavedishes.
  • Installing,testing,andtroubleshootingRRU/BBUequipmentontowers.
  • Otherdutiesrelatingtotelecommunicationtowerconstructionandmaintenance.
  • Abilitytoread,analyzeandinterpretjournals,technicalprocedures,orgovernmentalregulations.
  • Ability to effectively present informationand respond to questions from groups of managers, clients,customers,and regulatorypersonnel.
