Job summary

Pillar Innovations is seeking a Tower Technician II - Wireless Services to safely install, repair, and upgrade equipment at communications sites, including elevated work. Role requires ability to read site docs and follow MOPs, with opportunities to mentor junior team members.

Flexibility for travel, long hours, weekends and holidays is required. The position reports to the Construction Manager - Wireless Services and works mainly from the assigned location.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience installing and maintaining cabling, antennas, microwave dishes, tower builds, site inspections, lighting systems.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Ability to follow rigid safety standards and properly use PPE.
• Willingness to travel and work in extreme environmental conditions.
• Read and understand site documents such as Construction Drawings and RF data sheets.

Responsibilities

• Build customer infrastructure, such as tower erection, expansion, and upgrades to wireless networks.
• Read site documents like Construction Drawings and RF Data Sheets.
• Safely complete equipment installations and upgrades at elevated heights.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and correct equipment and network functionality.
• Observe and report defects or hazards and document costs accurately.
• Follow MOPs and complete assigned actions per scope of work.
• Train and mentor less experienced team members.
• Lead Wireless Services Tower team in absence of Foreman or Manager.
