Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers in York, PA is seeking a Tower Loader to move pallets and load trailers in a fast-paced, safety-focused team. This full-time role requires operating a sit-down forklift and adhering to safety procedures.

Starting rate is $19/hr with potential to $25+/hr after training. Shift options include 3rd shift, with overtime as needed, at our York distribution site located at 4875 N Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience operating a sit-down forklift.
• Previous loading experience using forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Strong commitment to safety and following standard procedures.

Responsibilities

• Load full pallets of merchandise into trailers and prevent damage.
• Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and/or clamps to move merchandise.
• Inspect trailers for damage before loading.
• Verify loading with RF handhelds or voice systems.
• Wrap pallets with stretch wrap.
• Move quickly to prevent truck backlog and keep pace with schedules.
• Perform equipment inspections and complete forms as required.
• Lift varying case weights up to 60 lbs or more as needed.
• Maintain a clean work area and perform other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

As a Tower Loader, you will move pallets of merchandise from staging areas and load proper trailers. This is a fast-paced role, perfect for energetic individuals who are highly organized and like to stay active

Job Description

Starting rate $19/hr with an earning potential of $25+/hr after training! Full Time, 3rd shift available Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday OR Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday 6pm start until done (overtime as required) Location: 4875 N Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406

You will contribute by:

• Loading full pallets of merchandise into trailers and ensure damage is avoided.
• Utilizing forklifts, electric pallet jacks and/or clamp machines to move merchandise
• Inspecting trailers for damage before loading.
• Utilizing RF handhelds and/or voice to verify loading of pallets.
• Wrapping pallets with stretch wrap.
• Moving at a fast pace to prevent backlog of trucks and/or product
• Performing equipment inspections & completing appropriate forms
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Keeping work area clean
• Performing other job related duties as assigned

• One or more years of experience operating a sit down forklift required
• Previous loading experience utilizing forklifts, electric pallet jack, etc.
• Strong sense of safety and ability to follow standard safety procedures

• Ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
