Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, York, PA is seeking a Tower Loader to move pallets, load trailers, and operate forklifts in a fast-paced distribution environment. The role emphasizes safety and accuracy, with a starting rate of $19 per hour and potential to earn $25+ per hour after training; full-time, 1st shift, schedule Wed-Sat, 7:00am–5:30pm, at 4875 N Susquehanna Trail, York.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing forklifts and/or electric pallet jacks.
• Completing inspection of trailers before loading any product.
• Verifying loading of orders by RF handhelds and/or voice headsets.
• Loading full pallets of merchandise into trailers and securing them properly.
• Performing equipment inspections and completing required forms.
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight and heights.

Position Overview

As a Tower Loader, you will move pallets of merchandise from staging areas and load proper trailers. These jobs are an important part of our team and help sustain our safe and efficient daily operation.

• Starting rate $19/hr with an earning potential of $25+/hr after training!
• Full Time, 1st shift available
• Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday
• 7:00am - 5:30pm
• Location: 4875 N Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406

You will contribute by:

• Utilizing forklifts and/or electric pallet jacks
• Completing inspection of trailers before loading any product
• Verifying loading of orders by RF handhelds and/or voice headsets
• Loading full pallets of merchandise into trailers & ensuring pallets are secured properly to avoid damages
• Performing equipment inspections & completion of appropriate form
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels

• Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
• Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more
• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
