Job summary

Day Wireless Systems is seeking a Tower Assistant Manager to lead a crew in the construction, maintenance, and modification of communication towers and related infrastructure. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in telecom tower work with climbing, site visits, microwave systems, and civil construction experience.

As Crew Lead you will direct the team, ensure safety and high-quality workmanship, and actively participate in the hands-on work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in telecommunications tower construction.
• Proven experience leading and supervising tower construction crews.
• Proficiency in safe tower climbing techniques and rigging procedures.
• Experience with installation, alignment, and troubleshooting of microwave systems.
• Hands-on experience with civil construction tasks related to tower sites.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in telecom tower industry.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in using basic hand and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work at heights and travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Crew Leadership and Supervision: Lead and supervise a team on project sites, assign tasks, provide guidance, ensure safety and workflow.
• Tower Climbing and Rigging: Frequent climbing; install, align, and modify tower-mounted equipment; inspect before climbs.
• Site Visits and Assessments: Conduct pre-construction surveys and post-construction inspections; document findings.
• Microwave System Work: Assist in installation, alignment, and testing of microwave antennas and equipment.
• Civil Construction Work: Perform foundation work, grounding, fence installation, and access road maintenance.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain daily/weekly reports and document discrepancies.
• Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety policies; participate in training; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain climbing gear, tools, and equipment.
