Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Towed System IMA technician in Poulsbo, WA to support towed array modules on naval platforms, perform inspections, electrical testing and shipboard installation/removal, and travel as needed.

The role requires basic qualifications in electronics, ability to obtain interim Secret clearance, valid driver's license, lifting 40 lbs, and willingness to work overtime and travel, with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited technical institute or apprentice program in electronics above the high school level or successful completion of a military electronics course equivalent to U.S. Navy "C" school and at least two years’ experience in the test and repair of electronic/electrical equipment.
• Experience in the use of electronic test equipment and operation of various handheld power tools.
• Must obtain a minimum of an interim Secret prior to commencement of employment.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift 40lbs without assistance.
• Must complete a background check and physical to be able to operate company truck.

Responsibilities

• Conduct towed array module physical inspection, electrical testing and troubleshooting.
• Assemble arrays and perform shipboard installation and removal of towed bodies.
• Work pier side, in all weather conditions or in a warehouse environment.
• Travel overseas and within CONUS on short notice may be required.
• Overtime may be required to meet US Navy schedules and surge work.
