Job summary

Blue Man Group is seeking an Assistant Props Technician for the 2026 North American tour. The role covers prop maintenance, preparation, and operation across touring venues, reporting to the Head of Props.

The candidate will assist with load-ins, load-outs, and cross-department support in a fast-paced touring environment. Must have hands-on fabrication skills, the ability to read cue sheets, and travel domestically for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years in theatrical run crew, props, or technical production.
• Strong hands-on technical and fabrication skills with theatre materials, tools, and adhesives.
• Ability to read cue sheets and maintenance docs accurately.

Responsibilities

• Execute prop tracks and cues, ensuring safe, professional execution.
• Collaborate with Head of Props to maintain consistency across show elements.
• Perform daily maintenance, cleaning, and preparation of props and consumables.
• Troubleshoot prop or cue issues quickly to minimize disruptions during performances.
• Assist with adapting prop setups to venue layouts and conditions.
• Support other departments during load-in/load-out and tours as needed.
• Maintain safe working practices and document maintenance activities.
