Job summary

Blue Man Group North American Tour is seeking an Assistant Carpenter to support the Head of Carpentry on scenic, rigging, and deck operations during the 2026 tour. This role also acts as a technical swing across departments to ensure smooth performances.

Candidates should have 2–3 years of theatrical carpentry experience, strong tool skills, and the willingness to travel domestically Nov–Dec 2026. The position is full‑time touring with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in theatrical carpentry or technical production.
• Experience with scenic, mechanical, or automation systems is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and cue sheets.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, operation, and maintenance of scenic, stage, and automation elements.
• Run assigned show tracks and cues.
• Provide cross‑department support (Lighting, Video, Props, Wardrobe).
• Maintain equipment, inventory, and safety procedures.
• Support load-in/load-out and touring logistics.
