Oak View Group’s PPG Paints Arena is seeking a Tour Guide to lead guided tours and engage fans and guests with high-quality service.

You will work with groups of all ages, assist with check-ins, and memorize facts about the venue and team history. The role requires evening, weekend and holiday availability and a part-time schedule with benefits.

Qualifications

• Public speaking and guest interaction experience preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills are essential.
• Be a Penguins hockey fan with understanding of game history.
• Memorize facts and present them clearly to all age groups.
• Maintain professional appearance and work ethic at all times.
• Able to work with limited supervision and across staff levels.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer usage and check-in procedures knowledge required.

Position Summary

PPG Paints Arena is seeking candidates for the Tour Guide position. Primary duties will include giving guided tours of PPG Paints Arena, home of the Pittsburgh Penguins; working with groups of all ages; assisting with guests entering each facility, including check-in; and providing top-notch customer service.

This role pays an hourly rate of $15.56

About The Venue

As a leading entertainment venue, PPG Paints Arena is the regional epicenter for athletic events, concerts, and family shows in Western Pennsylvania and home to the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED (experience in lieu of diploma/GED may be considered).
• Experience with public speaking and experience working with children preferred.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Be a fan of the Penguins and hockey, along with a good understanding of the game and history.
• Be able to memorize specific facts and communicate professionally to all age groups.
• Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.
• Ability to work under limited supervision and to interact with all levels of staff, including management.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• In order to perform this job successfully, an individual should understand how to use a computer.
• Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors as required by the function.
• Must have the physical ability to maneuver around the facility, at times, walking and/or standing up to 4-8 hours daily.
• Ability to communicate via two-way radio.
