Job summary

Insight Global is hiring a Payroll Administrator in Smyrna, TN to support accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for assigned employee populations. You will review inputs, time and attendance, deductions, taxes, and direct deposits; maintain documentation; and support quarter-end and year-end activities.

You will collaborate with HR, Finance, managers, and vendors to protect data integrity and deliver reliable payroll service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, enter, review, and validate payroll data for regular, off-cycle, correction, bonus, commission, and final payrolls.
• Review time and attendance, hires, terminations, pay changes, retroactive adjustments, and direct-deposit information for accuracy.
• Process or support garnishments, child support orders, and other payroll deductions.
• Maintain payroll calendars, checklists, and employee payroll files in line with company requirements.
• Coordinate payroll funding information, pay statements, bank files, and vendor transmissions.
• Reconcile payroll registers, tax reports, direct deposits, and retirement contributions.
• Prepare payroll reports for HR, Finance, auditors, and leadership with confidentiality controls.
• Support quarter-end and year-end balancing, forms W-2, amendments, and audit requests.
• Follow segregation-of-duties and data-privacy controls; report issues promptly.
• Maintain payroll data in HRIS and ensure system updates, testing, integrations, and feeds.
• Create SOPs and training materials for payroll activities.
• Propose improvements to increase accuracy, timeliness, and customer service.
