Job summary

The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community is seeking a Total Rewards Manager to lead compensation and benefits for Tribal Operations. You will shape salary structures, job leveling, market benchmarking, and oversee benefits administration to attract and retain talent.

Reporting to HR leadership, you will guide leaders and HR teams on compensation studies, annual reviews, and vendor partnerships, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and cost-effective programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Compensation.
• 4+ years of experience supporting benefits eligibility, enrollment, life events, deductions, vendor feeds, and reconciliation in a benefits administration environment.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office Applications and HR-related software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced quantitative skills, including data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualization.
• Demonstrated ability to work within and collaborate with a team.
• Willingness and ability to take initiative and operate independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead compensation programs and market adjustments in line with budget.
• Oversee benefits administration, enrollment, and vendor relations.
• Support annual compensation reviews and bonuses.
• Provide analytical support for compensation modeling and cost projections.
• Ensure confidentiality of employee data and HRIS accuracy.
