Job summary

ND Paper is seeking a Total Rewards Manager to design and execute competitive compensation, benefits, and wellness programs across our manufacturing footprint. You will lead annual compensation cycles, optimize pay structures, and deliver data-driven insights to support workforce planning and leadership decisions.

You will partner with HRIS and Payroll, manage a small team, and ensure regulatory compliance while driving employee engagement and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business or related field.
• Minimum 7+ years' progressive compensation experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Union environment experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present analyses clearly.
• Knowledge of reward vendors, consultants, and solution providers.
• Ability to design processes from scratch with stakeholders.
• Flexibility, partnerships, multi-tasking in fast-paced settings.
• CCP and/or CBP certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive total rewards strategy aligned with organizational goals and talent strategy.
• Lead and optimize compensation and benefits programs for competitiveness and scalability.
• Provide strategic guidance on market trends, pay positioning, and workforce planning.
• Oversee base salary structures, incentive plans, and executive compensation frameworks.
• Conduct market benchmarking using salary surveys and external data sources.
• Ensure internal equity through job architecture and pay analyses.
• Manage annual compensation cycles, budgeting, and approvals.
• Oversee design/administration of health, welfare, retirement, and wellness programs.
• Evaluate vendor performance and manage broker relationships.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA and related regulations.
• Lead open enrollment, including system configuration and vendor coordination.
• Deliver compensation/benefits analytics and reporting; support audits and compliance.
