Job summary

The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC) is seeking a strategic Talent Management and HR Communications Leader to guide onboarding, leadership development, and talent assessments. You will partner with Tribal Operations leaders and HR Partners to identify gaps, promote top talent, and build scalable training programs.

You will lead a team to develop content, deliver regular dashboards, and apply data-driven methods to improve outcomes while leveraging AI tools for personalized learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or other related fields.
• 6+ years of experience in talent management related to leadership training and talent assessments and programs.
• Experience leading and developing new hire orientation and onboarding, along with engagement programs.
• Demonstrated competence in organizational design, change management, performance management, and talent assessments.
• Experience in delivering leadership training and building leadership curriculums.
• Strong writing skills with adaptable styles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, communication, and administration of onboarding, performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and top talent learning initiatives.
• Assess organizational talent gaps with Tribal Operations leaders and HR Partners to support business goals.
• Build training content and courses to support team members’ development.
• Deliver regular talent reports and dashboards to leaders and partners.
• Use AI tools to streamline training operations and customize learning experiences.
• Ensure HR compliance training is delivered and tracked.
