Job summary

Island Finance is seeking a senior Manager of Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll to lead the total rewards functions in Puerto Rico. You will partner with the HR Director and leadership to design competitive salary structures, manage payroll compliance, and oversee benefits programs.

You will operate within Workday and ADP SmartCompliance, handling tax filings, leave administration, and regulatory reporting while driving cost-efficiency and talent retention. Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, payroll administration.
• Extensive knowledge of local and federal employment laws and regulations.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Workday and ADP SmartCompliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage compensation strategies through salary structures and internal equity.
• Serve as payroll SME, ensuring regulatory compliance and efficiency in Workday/ADP SmartCompliance.
• Oversee payroll processing and audits across HRIS platforms.
• Ensure regulatory reporting including W-2 issuance and tax filings.
• Manage leave administration in compliance with labor laws.
• Administer employee benefit programs and 401(k) plans.
